The best way I know to tell you about Horizontal Conditioning, is to tell you my story...
I have been active for as long as I can remember. I started teaching group exercise when I was 19 years old. I was a cardio junkie until I was in my later twenties, then I started adding muscle classes to the mix. Although I was doing cardio and muscle consistently and eating relatively healthy, the only thing that was defined on my body were my legs.
I knew there had to be something more.
Horizontal Conditioning is the result of many years of learning, evolving and perfecting. It began by going to SCW Mania conventions and getting ideas for class. I wanted to design my own super-challenging workout that relied primarily on body weight for resistance. Even more important, I wanted it to be different from anything else out there. Fortunately, I had a group of dedicated students who worked tremendously hard and would try anything. Together, as we became stronger, I incorporated more and more out-of-the-box horizontal moves, and continued to rely on body weight instead of weights. Today, the class is much more horizontal than a traditional vertical strength-training class. Horizontal Conditioning truly is a one-of-a-kind class everyone who wants to be strong and challenged should try.
Horizontal Conditioning has truly transformed my body. As I write this, I am in my mid-forties and have had two children. I look and feel better today than I ever have. I am more defined now than prior to having children. I have arm, back, and abdominal definition that I have never had before. To me, it is both exciting and amazing. I absolutely love the way I feel after a Horizontal workout...strong and lean. Horizontal Condititoning is definitely hard work, but worth every minute!
